Ma Chang (马畅, 1987 – 2011) was an renowned ambassador of traditional Chinese martial arts and Taijiquan who was recently killed in a car accident. Ma Chang started her taijiquan training at the age of 2 years old under her father, Ma Guoxiang (马国相) who is a twelfth generation Chen Style Taijiquan practitioner. Ma had won the taijiquan gold metal of 2004 National Wushu Championship. In recent years, Ma had become an International ambassador of Taiji Culture, her innovative martial arts performance which integrated modern elements such as fashion, pop dance and songs with traditional martial arts routine with great successes. Ma had also ventured into a singing and acting career.
