Sun Jianyun (孙剑云, 1914 – 2003) is the fourth child and only daughter of Sun Lutang (孙录堂, 1860 – 1933), Sun started her martial arts teaching career in 1931, she tough at female martial arts classes of GuoshuGuan (Martial Arts Academy) of Jiangsu Province. Sun was appointed as head judge of Wushu event of the first All China National Games in 1959 and she has been active in the Martial Arts scene since than. Sun Jianyun published numerous books and VCDs in Sun Style Taijiquan, Taijijian (Taiji Sword), Xingyiquan, Xingyijian (Xingyi Sword), Baguazhang and Baguajian (Bagua Sword) in the 80s and 90s of last century.
